Another very common staple of Southern Landscapes is the Vitex tree, also known as a Chaste Tree. These trees flower all summer long with Blue/Violet flowers. Though their flowers are usually not as full as Crape Myrtles, they provide an excellent colorful backdrop and excellent resilience against our hot climate.
